Who writes their speeches? These writers and coaches are going to be their advisers if and when.
These people think climate change has something to do with air conditioners and evolution has something to do with, maybe, helicopters.

Seniors Screwed again by Murkowski, Begich, Young in Alaska

Murkowski, Begich and Young all got their COLA raises by default. Social Security recipients didn't, same COLA ratio. Greed, filth, double, triple standards... what can you say.  Murkowski lost the last primary by 2000+ votes, all of them seniors. Gonna lose the election, also. Miller, who defeated Murkowski is a bonehead Teabagger pumped by Palin. People in his hometown of Fairbanks don't even go to his rah rah meetings. The only people who show up there are the bored press and hell, he ain't even a witch. Warlock. Something.

Scott McAdams, why not?

Murkowski and Miller are non choices. Murkowski, hard to say what she's about, but, not much different than the rest of the pack. Maybe about nothing? Already took her COLA raise, turned down the seniors. She's a non-event.
Miller, wuss champion of the No Nothing Party, The TeaKettlers, full of steam, secrets, deceit, little going on outside the ability to breed. Will take anything he can get at the expense of anyone he can sacrifice. Against Social Security, against all programs except those he's made money on, and, there are a bunch of those.
Scott McAdams, what the hell, beats the other two. Give him a shot. In a nation whose election decisions have been increasingly going for the Least Repulsive, Scott looks pretty damn good. The "what the hells" aside, this nation and Alaska are in a state of flux. Change. Change is inevitable and unavoidable, much to the displeasure of the Conservative element in politics. Change is a constant, a fact of life. Scott seems like a complete change from the entrenched cancer wallowing in Washington. Change is going to happen we might as well embrace it and send someone new to DC, someone who can possibly cope and deal with it and make the best of it rather than obstruct, deny and oppress.

Why Murkowski Lost

Murkowski lost her primary race up here in Alaska to Teabagger (or more appropriately, Tea Kettle, (thks to T Friedman)) candidate Miller for a variety of reasons, voter anger and frustration, being a member of the party of No! and, very much not least, the Senior Citizen Vote. Murkowski got her COLA raise by default. The seniors didn't. It always boils down to money, and, rightly so in this case. This is a non-official "pole" consisting simply of many conversations around town, around the Kenai Peninsula and Southcentral Alaska. The spread was about 2000 votes. The cost of living is skyrocketing, despite what this or that pole, estimate or survey says. Government estimates and appraisals are bunk. Period. A joke played on the losers. In this case, another case of the most vulnerable, Senior Citizens. Many Seniors voted for Miller as did many citizens simply out of frustration, and, will vote for him, whoever, again, out of frustration, anger and desperation. Miller is no prize. McAdams will get some votes despite the Democrat Party label. (see other posts "Democrats always blow themselves up; Republicans blow everybody else up")

Teabaggers & Granola Crunchers, USA political & social terminology

A reader, outside the USA asks if Teabaggers & Granola Crunchers are the same people. No. They aren't .
Granola Crunchers are dead opposite the Teabaggers ( or Tea Party as they prefer). Granola Crunchers are the Tree Huggers, the PETA people, the folks who all say, "Lets move to California and give everybody a great big Hug!!" They don't carry guns, they carry petitions. Lists of grievances, and a hankie. Tofu, soy, granola, white Zinfandel, and natural yogurt. Pasty white complexions with zits, acne and lousy hair. Sandals and those Tibetan knit hats with the long stringy ear covers: they drive Volvos or Saabs. Usually rusted out pieces of crap belching smoke and missing on one cylinder with a bumper sticker that says something like "The Goddess is Displeased." Reference to God in the Feminine, or at the very least, Bi. Democrats, liberal, Marxists, desperate for the Socialist Revival, impotent to do anything about it or bring it about. They work as social workers or at the University. Usually never making it past Assoc. Prof. They usually can't deal with the raw aggression of the man/woman who wants full Professorship and full tenure and the best parking space. They just figure he/she is misunderstood. They figure most folks are misunderstood at best or have been deprived or something and deserve "some room." They don't think the Teabaggers are misunderstood or deprived. They think the Teabaggers are assholes. They're right.
Teabaggers* are usually old white guys carrying guns, facial hair, scowls and really bad attitudes. Low IQ** Heavily armed. Pissed. Hate government, except for the branches that are taking care of them, VA, Medicare, Medicaid, Farm subsidy programs, Subsidy programs of any kind, that They get. They drive 4WD trucks or Big Cars, rusted out pieces of shit, missing on one cylinder, belching smoke or brand new Dodge pickups, 4WD with diesels. Turbocharged. BIG tires. They drink beer, eat raw meat and cheeseburgers with fries and lots and lots of ketchup. No salads. Salads are for pussies. GOD, GUTS & GUNS. And God is a GUY. Period. If God wanted God to be a girl He'd give Jesus tits. For Jeesus sake, it's obvious. And God is a Christian. Red, White & Blue. And an American Citizen. A Yank, btw, not a Kanuck or Mex or any of those other su-types who think they live in the Americas. *Teabaggers comes from the Boston Tea Party held in pre-revolution times. Evolved in the Tea Party when the Teabaggers figured out the sexual connotation of the term (not going into that here, see "Sex and the City," episode with Samantha for further explanation) **Lots of people ask, "Is Sarah really that stupid?" Sarah isn't stupid. She may not be educated or informed, but, she isn't stupid. Sister*** Sarah is a hustler, a grifter with a whole passel of these Teabaggers lining up to giver her money for this, that, and whatever. She's making a fortune. Gotta hand it to her for that. ***Deified in some circles, not canonized yet. Teabaggers think the Granola Crunchers are wishy washy pussy assholes. They're right.

BP Oil Spill, How to Fix It & Turn it into a Producing Well

It would be easier to turn this gusher into a temporary producing well than to cap it at this time. The temp would work until a relief well is finished, hell, it would work for a long time, using the technology available and using products that are available, with modifications. Hydraulic dredges have been used for decades, and, they work. And they would work with even more efficiency with an oil well, under pressure. Assuming a standard 6-8 inch drill pipe (or a riser, 21 inches, adjust sizes up) is standing, or leaning, start with a 10-12 inch suction head, 3-4 power heads, ( with additional suction heads installed at 1500 to 2000 foot intervals) it would pick up virtually all of the oil coming directly out of the drill pipe and would relieve the pressure to an extent it would bring it up fast enough to stop the small secondary leaks below the break. Complete details and schematics available for $1.6 million.  This gusher is a big problem, the solution isn't.

KKK, Teabaggers & The GOP

Bad news comes in 3s, and with the reemergence of the KKK, the new Teabaggers and the rebirth of the GOP the cycle of  the stupid, dumb and racist filth seems to have come full tilt. Add Arizona's descent into fear and irrational blathering idiocy it just sort of adds the snake eyes (no insult to snakes) to the mix. There's a difference between immigration and drug smuggling. No matter, no arguing with idiots or dumbshits. The Teabaggers and the GOP have become the new KKK. So this is evolution kind of in reverse. It just goes round and round.

Climate Change or Pollution?

There are two problems with trying to sell the idea of climate change to legislators or to the general public. The first is money, there's just to damn much money in debunking the idea and the second is perspective. Global climate change is a decades if not centuries process. Granted, the industrialized world has speed it all up, geometrically. Climate change happens naturally and has since the earths formation ( a process of climate change) but, before the Industrial Revolution, prior to the past two hundred years, the change was gradual, natural. Since the smokestacks began pouring their filth, mining and oil companies drilling, ripping and dumping, seagoing nations regurgitating waste, nuclear industry leaking and blowing up...hell, just about everybody spitting on the floor, smoking in the park and pitching empties everywhere, since all this, it just piles up faster and faster.
Climate change won't sell 'cause climate change is vague and takes to long. Pollution will sell 'cause it's obvious, deniers are obvious liars, hypocrites and greed barons and it will sell because people are sick, deformed, die and it's all around us and is us.

Rebirth of the KKK, the Teabaggers

Arising from it's own filth, the KKK is being reborn, like some seriously defective Phoenix, ripped thru and thru with the stench of the sewer of racism, prejudice, distorted Christian values, anti-government sentiment, hypocrisy, hype, distortion, greed, paranoid delusion, the Teabaggers and heart and soul(?) of the defunct, discredited, dead and apparently undissolved Klu Klux Klan is rearing it foul innards and diseased body to lead the Republican Party into the 21st Century. HooRay. And who says God doesn't have a sense of humor? Maybe God's just bored.

The Hustlers and the Teabaggers

The Teabaggers are composed of two groups, the hustlers and the suckers. By default there's always a lot fewer  hustlers than suckers. If you're not making money in the movement you are of the later. If this is still to complicated consider the Poker analogy, if you don't know who the sucker at the table is, you're it.

FOX News(?) & Bush Bashing

Now really. FOX had a headline editorial about how it was about time the White House stopped blaming the Bush admin for Everything Bad that has happened in the immediate past and present. Get a grip FOX Folks. The Obama admin has shown remarkable restraint in dealing with the Bush & Co Train Wreck. There's not much point in belaboring this issue anyway, it's just to obvious. from the massive deficits, corruption from chicken farmers to military contracts to the sub-contracted war in Iraq (sub-contracting the US military-industrial complex to the incompetent and impotent Saudis who had neither the will or the ability to do the job) to destroy the Baath Party, a major threat to the Saudis, to the really dumb war in Afghanistan, where they've been fighting each other for 2500 years and will never stop, JeeZus, no end to the list.... no point at all, everybody knows it. The Obama administration probably would be better off today if they had hammered away and reminded people on a daily basis that the vast majority of todays problems are a direct result of Republican dysfunction, greed, and corruption and Bush's utter failure.

Why Scott Brown Won It

Brown won it because he worked harder. Just about period, but not quite. People across the spectrum are fed up with the dysfunctional, inept, corrupt and spastic people and organizations we have in government. The Demos are pussies and the Repubs are greedy predators past any reasonable measure of shame or self restraint. Plus Obama's "promise and hope" is little more than that. Great talker, articulate and intelligent. Which, that in itself is one hell of a relief after Bush, but, the rest, he's kept the Bush culture of greed at any expense in place with his appointments. And Bush didn't even know what he was doing hisownself. Obama did. People are pissed. Teabaggers are just pissed and inarticulate. Hysterical idiots actually with a band of Looters, Limbaugh, Beck, Palin, et al, at the top, raking it in. It's all about money.
Plus, Brown worked harder. His opponent was and is a wuss. Thinking she was going to coast in on Kennedy memory, typical Democrat, show and blow and nothing behind it.
Enough to make you want to spit.

Democrats always blow themselves up. Always. Republicans always blow everybody else up. Always. Between the two runs a common thread, one of dysfunction and incompetence, buffered by hypocrisy, ego,  greed and corruption. Trickling sideways, not up on down.
The Democrats (Progressives?) always bring a heartfelt list of grievances to a gunfight. Jesus they're pathetic. The Republicans just kick the shit outta them and go to the bank, shaking their heads, grinning. Occasionally a Demo will see the light and cross over and go to the bank. Maybe that's why they're called Progressives?
Obama came in with maybe the biggest majority in history & couldn't get anything done. (Well, he got a dog and a garden) Bush came in with shit and got whatever he wanted done, done. And Bush was dumber than, well, a bush.
